As companies move faster and faster in terms of getting content out in order to help enable them stay a step ahead of competition, the many approaches which we used to take for embedding application security into an application's lifecycle no longer scale. Combine this with the ever more pressing need to start paying closer attention to application security. The purpose of this talk is to express why application security is so important, now more so than ever before. This talk will also cover the different approaches which can be taken to help security aid in the faster pace which companies need to move. Finally this talk will also cover some of the challenges which organisations may face and how best to overcome such challenges.

Outside of work, Weiyuan serves as a community lead for Big O(n) Development and GDG Cloud Singapore, and hosts events monthly to bi-weekly on cloud technologies and current-day topics.
