We would also like to reiterate our RSVP policy: If you are on the waitlist and we think the event venue will be at or close to capacity you will have to wait until 6:45 before we allow you into the room. If you are RVSPd we will keep your spot available until 15 minutes before the announcements, after that your spot will be given to someone present on the waitlist. Abstract/Speaker Bios:


Come see a demonstration on how to interact with an open-source brain-computer interface via JavaScript. Alex has been working with the OpenBCI team in order to visualize and interpret brainwaves in the browser with Angular. Find out how your thoughts are captured and how to get involved in the NeuroTech community.

Bio: Alex Castillo is a Software Engineer at Netflix and specializes in enterprise single-page applications. Alex is very passionate about the human brain and how we can use technology to understand it better. He has contributed to the open source community and focuses on Angular and NeuroTech. In his spare time, he likes experimenting with guitars and IoT.

Abstract: As Autodesk A360 team, we start using Angular 2 while it was in beta. It has been a journey to learn a new framework and discover it’s in an outs while planning a new product that will be used by millions of people all around the world. We witnessed the design decisions the Angular Team is making along the way and we came to love them and appreciate them even more. Let’s talk about how we learned and how we evolved our architecture at Autodesk.

Bio: Aysegul is a Javascript developer focusing on AngularJS and data visualization. She is a Senior Software Engineer at Autodesk A360 Cloud Platform, a Developer Expert at Google and an active conference speaker. She enjoys teaching at a variety of non-profit organizations aiming to increase diversity in the software industry.
