International Women’s Day (IWD) occurs on March 8th every year. It marks a moment to celebrate and provide visibility for the incredible contributions of women around the world and is a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

Women Techmakers International Women’s Day (IWD) is a largest annual event campaign where ambassadors host events all around the world during the months of March and April. Due to Ramadhan in April 2023, we hold the event early in Februari 2023.

For IWD 2023, Women Techmakers Ambassadors will be hosting events around the world with the theme “Dare To Be,” empowering our community to have courage, to dream big and to be bold. 

The event will be divided into two sessions :

1. Talkshow.
    Speakers will share about "dare to be" their version :

- Dian Nafi, Digital Mums. Undip Architecture graduates who like to travel and write fiction and non-fiction. Women Will Mentor by Google. She will tell how her journey to “dare to be” an author.

- Puspita Rahayu, Backend developer MTARGET. Semarang University students. She will tell how she struggles to “dare to be” a developer who is also still in college.

- Ike Nurasih, UI/UX Designer MTARGET. Born in Sumatra who dared to go far to become a designer. She will tell how she struggles to seek knowledge away from family. 

- Farah Oktarina, Women Techmakers Ambassador Semarang. Informatics Engineering graduates. She will tell how dare to be a developer who also has to take care of the baby and family. 

2. Codelab (Limited seats, 15 persons / topic)

      Web : Progressive Web Apps (Farah from WTM Ambassador)
