About this event

Are you interested in learning generative AI? Join us for this 5-session online study series with Google Cloud, where we take you onto the journey learning generative AI. You’ll explore the dynamic landscape of Generative AI, gaining both theoretical insights and practical know-how of Google Cloud GenAI tools such as Gemini, Vertex AI and Imagen 3.

You will get free access to Google Cloud Skills Boost and engage in practical exercises to earn the Google Cloud Skills Boost badge, demonstrating your ability to craft effective prompts, guide AI outputs, and deploy Gemini models in real-world marketing scenarios. In addition, you will learn from expert speakers from Google and the community.

In this second session we will dive deep into image generation, vector search, embeddings and RAG. There will be two talks in this session:

Talk 1: Imagen 3: Beyond Image Generation,  by Margaret Maynard-Reid, ML GDE
An overview of how image generation works. Then we explore the latest features of the best tex-to-image model: Imagen 3 - from generating high quality images to editing and fine customization of images.

Talk 2: AI Foundations: From Embeddings to RAG, by Qingyue (Annie) Wang, Google

Explore the essential building blocks of modern AI - embeddings, vector search, and retrieval-augmented generation. 
This session highlights how embeddings act as the foundation for these advanced AI capabilities, unlocking smarter solutions to complex challenges.

Preferably you join all 5 sessions; however, you are welcome to join any session even if you missed the previous ones.
