In this talk, we'll hear from Jessica Janiuk, a self taught engineer. She'll share the tale of her career in tech and how imposter syndrome helped her find her way to places in her career she never expected to be. You'll get insight and tips on how you can take this syndrome and use it to take you to new heights rather than keep you from your dreams.

It combines a reactive programming model with the conciseness and ease of use of the Kotlin programming language. During this hands-on Android Jam Session, Sierra will help you build your first Android app with Compose. Starting with the basics, we will learn what Compose is, how to build UIs with Compose, how to manage state in composable functions, how to create a performant list, how to add animations, and how to style and theme an app. All skill levels welcomed! Cloud Firestore is a NoSQL document database that lets you easily store, sync, and query data for your mobile and web apps - at global scale. In this talk, we will focus on structuring your Firestore DB so that you feel more confident in building real-time responsive apps!
