What to expect at DevFest 2024:
- Technical content: Worldwide events hosted by the Google Developer Groups community, featuring Googlers and Google Developer Experts.
- Workshops: Full-day workshops, hands-on experiences, hacking and debugging events, all centered on your favorite Google technologies.
- Networking: Panel discussions, Q&A sessions, meetup groups, project showcases, coding workshops, mentorship sessions, and more.

Recommendation: To get the most out of our workshop, we encourage attendees to bring their own laptops. While not mandatory, having your own device allows for a more interactive and hands-on experience. For those without a laptop, you’ll still be able to follow along as we demonstrate everything live.

Labeling data for computer vision tasks is often tedious and time-consuming. Human annotators manually draw bounding boxes, masks, or classify images—tasks that become overwhelming with large datasets. This repetitive work can lead to fatigue and errors. PaliGemma, an open-source visual language model by Google, offers powerful ways to interact with images and generate desired outputs, reducing the need for full manual labeling. PaliGemma can automatically generate initial bounding boxes, masks, or classifications, enabling annotators to refine these outputs instead of starting from scratch. This significantly speeds up the labeling process and enhances accuracy. With PaliGemma, teams can achieve faster, more consistent data annotation, freeing up valuable time for other tasks.
