What is the International Women’s Day?
International Women’s Day (IWD) occurs on March 8th every year. It marks a moment to celebrate and provide visibility for the incredible contributions of women around the world and is a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
What are we going to do and what's the Theme of #IWD24?
In honor of International Women’s Day, on March 8, the Women Techmakers Salzburg Community will host a IWD Salzburg Meet-up in April. 
The event will bring together thriving women in tech and allies for an evening of keynote speakers, inspirational talks, and technical content.
We invite you to join us on 11th April 2024 to hear about AI, Tech career Stories and Web technologies.
Our IWD theme for 2024 is "Impact the Future" - #WTMImpactTheFuture
We all have the power and the responsibility to impact the future of technology and society, with AI as a major part of shaping our world. What will that future look like? And how will we build it? We can use our skills, creativity and passion to create positive change and solve the problems that matter to us and our communities. We can also inspire the next generation of women in tech who will continue to impact the future with their own ideas and innovations. 
For IWD 2024, Women Techmakers Ambassadors will be hosting events around the world with the theme “Impact the Future,” empowering our community to have courage, to dream big and create the future. 
Get prepared for an evening full of talks, workshops, sessions, panel discussions etc. to celebrate the International Women's Day together!

Welcome Keynote	What is this year's Women Techmakers International Women's Days Theme "Impact the future" about?
How I grew to become an Open Source Contributor	The Linux community with multiple Linux distributions is part of the open source community. The culture is really welcome for people with different backgrounds. That was also one reason for Sarah Julia joining the openSUSE community to grow and learn there. In this session you will receive an overview which roles are available in open source communities (technical and non-technical). One topic will be also how she was allowed to grow as a Trainee in a non-technical role in the area of Translations/Documentation via Quality Engineering to technical and leadership roles like Software Packaging and Release Management and Community Leadership (openSUSE Board)
Revolutionizing the Road: The Impact of ML and AI in the Automotive Industry	In this insightful session, we delve into the transformative role of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the automotive industry.
