About this event

Did you think it was too much when JavaScript made its way into backend software development? Or maybe when it became possible to develop mobile apps all written in JS? Well, brace yourselves, because you can now take it a step further and start developing fully functional and well designed desktop applications as well.

In fact, it's been a thing for a while, but with recent promotion of Electron framework to v1.0, it's time to look at what makes it tick and if it's worth trying at all.

In this talk, we'll learn how to use JS to write multi-platform desktop applications, what specific technologies and frameworks are being used, and what the pros and cons of this approach are.

And of course, pizza and beverages will be served courtesy of TekSystems. See you there!
