Each DevFest event is crafted by its local organizers to fit the needs and interests of its local developer community. Whether it be through hands-on learning experiences, technical talks delivered in local languages by experts, or by simply meeting fellow local developers, DevFest attendees learn how to build together and innovate on Google's developer tools.
At DevFest 2023, we are committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all participants. We believe in the importance of diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect. By attending this event, you agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct:
Respect and Inclusivity: Treat all participants, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff with respect and kindness, regardless of their background, identity, experience, or beliefs. Be considerate of differing viewpoints and experiences.
Harassment-Free Environment: DevFest is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone. Harassment, discrimination, or unwelcome behaviour based on gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other characteristic will not be tolerated.
Engage in Constructive Discussions: We encourage open and constructive discussions related to technology and innovation. Disagreements are natural, but maintain a professional and respectful tone when expressing differences of opinion.
No Tolerance for Harassment: Harassment includes but is not limited to offensive comments, verbal or written abuse, intimidation, stalking, unwanted advances, and any behavior that creates an uncomfortable or hostile atmosphere.
Reporting Incidents: If you witness or experience any form of harassment or feel unsafe, please report it to a member of the event staff or through our designated reporting channels. All reports will be treated confidentially and promptly addressed.
Consequences of Violations: DevFest organizers reserve the right to take appropriate actions against individuals who violate this code of conduct. These actions may include warnings, expulsion from the event, or legal action if necessary.
Maintain a Safe Space: Help us maintain a safe and welcoming space by not engaging in disruptive behaviour, drinking or substance abuse.
Respect Personal Boundaries: Always ask for consent before taking photographs, recordings, or approaching someone for a conversation.
Compliance with Local Laws: Ensure your actions and conduct adhere to all local laws and regulations.
Be Inclusive: Encourage and support all attendees in having a positive and inclusive experience. If you witness someone feeling left out, reach out and make them feel welcome.
DevFest 2023 is about learning, sharing knowledge, networking, and celebrating technology. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us create an inclusive and safe environment for all participants. Together, we can make this event a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
