#MentalHealthisHEALTH - please join us for Google Developers Group Queens' Wellness Hours on Monday, May 30th in honor of wrapping up Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health matters everyday and should be openly discussed in today's world - without judgement or stigma. Come join us to participate in conversations surrounding self-care.

The pandemic has affected our mental health as a collective, whether you have transitioned to working from home, going back to the office, or now working hybrid, it's certainly been stressful. Join us from 6:00pm-8:00pm to join us in conversation about self-care, an open floor discussion about coping with stress in today's work environment and guest speaker Furqan Iqbal from Kalo Technologies, followed by a game of Jeopardy with a prize!

6:00pm - 6:20pm Introductions

6:20pm - 6:45pm Self-Care Workshop hosted by Mantasha Sharif

6:45pm - 7:00pm Guest Speaker - Full Stack Developer from Kalo Technologies: Furqan Iqbal

  • Guest speaker Furqan Iqbal, will share about the unique mental health challenges he experienced due to the nature of hybrid work as well ways he coped.

7:00pm - 7:15pm Open Floor Discussion

  • What are some challenges you experienced while working remotely OR shifting to hybrid/in-person?
  • Did any part about the speaker’s presentation resonate with you?
  • What advice or suggestions might you have for your peers based on your own experiences?

  • Resources available for mental health support followed by Mental Health Awareness Jeopardy!
