Every 3rd Thursday we host the night at Heatsync Labs. This month we are bringing in a few and Android Things kits and want to dig in on the software now that the hardware is built. Last month we learned that the "Nearby API" was used to facilitate communication between the Android Things App and the Android Things Device which is what made it so easy to switch between demos on the device itself.

But now it's time to load something of our own on the device!
You can pick up a kit at https://androidthings.withgoogle.com/ but it's fairly expensive ($199). That kit was given away at Google I/O in May this year and 60 lucky people who attended the Android Things workshop at IoT Devfest in January did a workshop with the exact same kit. We have an extra one you can borrow too! So come on by even if you don't have the hardware.
