This introductory workshop provides an overview of Google Design Sprint, a proven methodology for solving problems through designing, prototyping, and testing ideas with users. Within 5 days, you and your team are expected to be able to shift from ideas to prototype and ultimately well-grounded decision based on your target user feedback. These five days will save you and your teams countless weeks, months, and in some cases millions of dollars of investing in a wrong decision.
Initially developed at Google by Jake Knapp, John Zeratsky and Braden Kowitz when they were at Google Venture, this methodology started with a vision to grow UX culture and the practice of design leadership across the organization. Design Thinking is one of the key foundations in the development of this methodology.
Multiple teams within Google experimented with different methods from traditional UX practice, IDEO, the Stanford dSchool, business strategy, and even psychology, applying them to support divergent and convergent thinking with teams.
This method has been successfully applied not only across Google but also in hundreds of startups, corporations and organizations around the world.
