For July we are holding our Meetup at a special time and date! We're fortunate to have Thomas Devaux from Nest hosting at Google's building here in PDX. From Thomas:
Did you know Nest has a (tiny tiny) presence in Portland? Few more Nest engineers from the Apps team will be visiting that week, so we thought it would be the occasion to present some of the cool stuff we do at Nest.
Few of the topics we’d cover (agenda might change a bit):
- Presentation of Nest Products
- Case study: focus on the Nest App and some challenges we’re facing
- Works-With-Nest API: let’s build an app that interacts with Nest
- Hands-on demos, Q&A
- Raffle!
Agenda:
- 5pm to 6pm: drinks in the lobby (4th floor)
- 6pm: building doors close
- 6pm - 7pm: Presentation from the Nest Apps team
- 7pm to 8ish: Q&A / Happy Hour / Hands-on demo / Raffle
Notes:
The building doors close at 6pm, after which you'd need a badge. Please arrive before 6, and get to 4th floor. We won’t have an easy way to let you in after 6 (if you’re stuck - reach out to Thomas, Romain, our numbers will be on signs in the lobby). Space is limited to 40 people, please only RSVP if you actually plan to come.
Food / drinks to be provided.
