1:00 PM	🌟 Speaker Arpita Sarker : "Redefining Possible: Rethinking AI Through Collective Decision-Making"	What if AI development wasn’t driven by a few powerful actors, but shaped by the collective voice of its users? In this talk, I introduce TrustChain AI — a research-based architecture that explores how decentralized collaboration, voting mechanisms, and transparency can redefine how we build and govern intelligent systems. Instead of central control and black-box decisions, this approach opens the door to a future where AI is co-created, privacy-preserving, and aligned with community values. We’ll look at how consensus and collective agency can challenge traditional models of AI — and why rethinking participation is key to redefining what’s possible.

2:00 PM	🌍 Speaker Svetlana Meissner : "Agentic Era: Why Do We Need Agents?"	In the rapidly evolving landscape of AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) are limited by their training data. Still, AI agents can overcome these limitations by using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to access external, up-to-date information, enhancing the accuracy and relevance of their responses. This session will explore how Google Cloud's Vertex AI provides a platform for building RAG applications, including Vertex AI Search, a managed service for creating knowledge-based agents, and the RAG Engine for grounding LLM responses in custom data. You'll gain an understanding of how RAG works, including indexing, creating vector embeddings, and retrieving relevant information to provide context for the LLM. The session will provide practical insights into how RAG can be used to build robust and reliable AI applications and discuss how Gemini 2.0 models support agentic capabilities.
