The Googly event is an exciting and fast-paced competition designed to test participants' ability to search for and retrieve information efficiently using the Google search engine. This event challenges individuals to quickly find accurate answers to a set of questions within a strict time limit. The competition consists of two rounds, where participants must maximize their correct responses .

The Googly event is a fast-paced and intellectually stimulating competition that challenges participants to
efficiently search for information online under strict time constraints. Unlike traditional quiz-based
competitions, where knowledge is tested solely on memory, this event emphasizes the ability to find,
filter, and verify information using the Google search engine. The competition is structured into two
rounds, with progressively increasing difficulty, and rewards participants who can accurately and quickly
retrieve information.
This event is designed to test speed, accuracy, and strategic searching skills. Participants must complete
a set of questions within a limited time, competing against others to answer the maximum number of
questions correctly in the shortest time possible.
However, strict rules are in place to maintain fairness and integrity. The use of AI tools, including
ChatGPT and similar assistance, is strictly prohibited. Participants must rely solely on their ability to use
Google effectively to find accurate answers.
Event Structure & Rules
The Googly event consists of two rounds, each with a different set of questions and time limits.
Participants will compete individually, and only the top performers from Round 1 will advance to the Final
Round.
Round 1 – Preliminary Round
● Each participant will receive 20 questions and the time limit for this round is 10 minutes..
● Questions will be designed in a way that requires participants to use Google search effectively to
find correct answers.
● Only the top 20% of participants will qualify for the Final Round based on their performance.
Round 2 – Final Round
● Qualified participants from Round 1 will compete in this final stage.
● Each participant will receive 30 questions.
● The time limit for this round is 15 minutes.
● The winners will be decided based on the number of correct answers and the total time taken to
complete the task.
Rules & Regulations
To ensure a fair and competitive environment, all participants must adhere to the following rules:
1. Use of Google Only: Participants are only allowed to use Google Search to find answers. No other
sources or tools can be used.
2. No AI Assistance: The use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Bard, or any other automated
answer-generating software is strictly prohibited.
3. Time Constraint Adherence: Participants must complete their questions within the given time.
Exceeding the time limit will result in incomplete answers.
4. Independent Participation: No team collaboration is allowed. Each participant must answer
individually.
5. No External Help: Seeking answers from peers, using pre-written materials, or referring to
unauthorized sources is strictly forbidden.
6. Judge’s Decision is Final: The event coordinators and judges will have the final say in all matters
related to results, scoring, and disqualification.
Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in immediate disqualification from the event .
Evaluation Criteria
Winners will be determined based on the following criteria:
1. Maximum Tasks Completed: Participants who answer the most questions correctly will have a
higher chance of winning.
2. Minimum Time Taken: In case of a tie, the participant who completes the tasks in the shortest time
will be given preference.
Each participant’s answers will be reviewed, and scores will be compiled to determine the final ranking.
