About this event

The competition consists of teams of two participants. Each team will go through multiple rounds of coding, with the difficulty level increasing in each stage. The event follows a relay format, requiring both participants to contribute efficiently without direct collaboration.

Phase 1: Team Formation & Registration

Before the competition begins, participants must pair up and register by providing their details. Once registered, teams receive instructions about the competition format and rules.

Phase 2: The Coding Relay Begins

1. First Coder (10 minutes):

The first participant receives a problem statement and starts coding.

They have 10 minutes to write as much of the solution as possible.

After the time is up, they must stop immediately and switch places with their teammate.

No explanations or hints can be shared with the second coder.

2. Second Coder (10 minutes):

The second participant takes over but is only given the test cases to verify the code.

They must analyze the existing code, complete the missing parts, or debug errors within 10 minutes to ensure all test cases pass.

If successful, the team moves to the next round.

Phase 3: Advancing to the Next Rounds

A new problem statement is introduced in each round.

Roles alternate in every new round (the second coder of the previous round becomes the first coder in the next round).

The game continues until only the top teams remain.

Scoring & Winning Criteria:

Marks are awarded based on logic and time efficiency. The teams with the highest scores across all rounds proceed to the next stage. In case of a tie, a final round with a tougher problem and reduced time will determine the winner.
