On our 7th GDG meetup, Michael Lessiak from Oracle together and Sebastian Hofstätter from Cohere will give an exciting talk about the Infrastructure that powers state of the art AI. We will explore hosting LLMs, LLM models and secure enclaves for agentic uses.

🎙 Meet our speakers:

- Michael Lessiak (Oracle) is currently focusing on helping Austrian companies to adopt Oracle AI technology, ranging from OCI superclusters with up to 131,072 GPUs to AI & ML in the database. He holds a masters degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik from TU Wien and a masters degree in international business Strategy from Hitotsubashi ICS University Tokyo.

- Sebastian Hofstätter (Cohere) is a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Cohere, where he helped establish efforts in Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), tool-use, agentic modeling, and human data annotation – including authoring the open source Python sandbox Terrarium. His research focuses on advancing multimodal LLM reasoning, integrating models with external systems, and improving citation accuracy for better user experiences. He holds a PhD from TU Vienna, where he worked on efficient and interpretable neural retrieval systems.
