Courses: Access to exclusive Skill Boost Platform courses.
Timeline: Oct 11- Nov 11 (Cohort 2).
Goal: Collect 15 Skill Badges to gain certification.
Benefits: This campaign is designed to equip students with essential skills in booming technologies such as "cloud computing and generative AI", preparing them to be industry-ready.
4) Quiz about Google Logos to interact with the crowd.
5)Activity: "Prompt and Get It" with Gemini AI*
In this interactive session on Generative AI (GenAI), participants were introduced to the foundations of GenAI, focusing on how crafting effective prompts can enhance the AI's output. They explored how, with the right prompts, GenAI can generate specific and optimized results, particularly when creating images or other creative outputs.
A hands-on activity guided participants through using Gemini AI’s image search capabilities. Initially, they searched for images using their own prompts, then uploaded these images to a shared space via a dedicated QR code for the event. Afterward, they retrieved the prompts generated for their images and ran a new search with these optimized prompts. This allowed them to compare the AI’s responses and observe how the quality and relevance of the images improved with refined prompts, deepening their understanding of effective prompt engineering with GenAI.
This event attracted around 200 participants, all eager to dive into the world of Generative AI (GenAI) and learn about the exciting initiatives of the GDG on campus. Attendees gained valuable insights into GenAI's potential, practical applications, and the art of prompt engineering, empowering them with skills they can use in both their academic and creative pursuits. The enthusiasm and engagement throughout the event highlighted the community's interest in AI and the growing impact of the GDG chapter in fostering tech learning and collaboration on campus.
