About this event

Open Source Nest is on a mission to bring open source to you, and we’re kicking things off with a free, hands-on 6-day GitHub workshop! 🚀

📌 This is Day 1 of the workshop, and once you register, you’ll automatically be added to the rest of the days. No stress, just one signup and you’re in for the full journey.

In this workshop, you’ll dive into version control, collaboration, and the open-source workflows that power today’s tech world.

Starting with the basics of Git and GitHub, we’ll walk you through branching, pull requests, issue tracking, project boards, and even GitHub Actions. Step by step, you’ll gain the skills that real developers (and writers and community managers) use every day.

By the end, you won’t just understand GitHub, you’ll have hands-on experience managing repositories, collaborating with others, and applying best practices that set you up for professional projects and open-source contributions.
