About this event

Join Google Developer Groups on Campus Universiti Sains Malaysia at "Build with AI" Study Jam. This event features a series of hands-on session with the guide from our speaker covering Google AI technologies, including Gemini, Vertex AI, and Google AI Studio.

Abstract:
In this study jam, participants will be given a challenge where they have to begin with multimodal prompts to extract information from text and visual data, generating a video description, and retrieving extra information beyond the video by using multimodality with Gemini. You also build metadata of documents containing text and images, getting all relevant text chunks, and printing citations by using Multimodal Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) with Gemini.

1:00 AM	Introductory Session	This session introduces Gemini models and their integration via the Gemini API in Vertex AI. It covers Gemini’s multimodal capabilities for analyzing images, videos, and complex data. Participants will learn the differences between Gemini Pro and Gemini Flash, explore Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and its advantages, especially in multimodal contexts and gain insights into prompt engineering, including how to craft effective multimodal prompts.
