Pitch Night is where student innovation finds real-world impact. We're gathering the brightest minds in tech development, venture capital, and the Sydney startup scene to showcase projects in the build up for the APAC Solution Challenge. Expect to see cutting-edge applications tackling critical social challenges.

What to Expect

We'll start with a clear overview of the APAC Solution Challenge, outlining the themes and criteria for success. Then, student teams will present pitches for their concepts that solve real problems, focusing on agriculture, tourism, trade, healthcare, and sustainability and more. And of course, there's the chance to connect with some seriously talented people—judges, mentors, and fellow innovators. Get ready to be inspired and maybe even find your next team.

Pitch Presentations

Teams will have five minutes to present their projects, followed by a Q&A with our panel of venture capitalists and startup founders. This is a chance to see how innovative solutions are evaluated in a real-world context. We'll also include audience questions to foster a dynamic discussion. Then, it's time for the hot seat–our panel of 8 expert judges, a mix of venture capitalists and Sydney startup rockstars, will dive into the details with 5 minutes of Q&A. This is a chance to see trailblazing ideas in action and get real, unfiltered feedback from seasoned veterans in the business. Plus, we'll throw in a question from you, the audience, to really get the conversation going. It's going to be dynamic, insightful, and maybe even a little bit thrilling.

Team Formation & Networking

Following the pitches, we'll facilitate team formation for the APAC Solution Challenge, shifting gears into collaboration mode. This is your chance to connect, brainstorm, and maybe even form a dream team for the APAC Solution Challenge. We'll have dedicated time for networking, so you can chat with judges, mentors, and fellow attendees. Plus, we'll have plenty of food to keep the energy high. Here will see connections made, ideas born, and tech's future for social good get a little bit brighter.

Prizes & Recognition

We will announce prizes for the evening’s top pitches, recognising the most promising projects. This event also serves as a precursor to the APAC Solution Challenge, which offers significant cash prizes, up to US$5,000. Expect to see projects that demonstrate both technical merit and social impact.
