About this event

Are you ready for a challenge that combines coding, engineering, and competitive fun?

The Google Developer Groups (GDG), the Cyber Innovation Lab and the computing research hub are thrilled to announce the inaugural Southern Miss Robo Soccer Tournament!

This is your chance to team up, design, build, and program an autonomous robot to compete in a fast-paced soccer tournament. It’s more than just a competition; it’s a hands-on opportunity to develop real-world skills and make your mark.

Why should you join?

  • Get Hands-On Experience: Learn practical skills in Arduino programming, embedded systems, and robotics.

  • All Skill Levels Welcome: No prior robotics experience is necessary! This is a perfect project for first and second-year students to learn and for upperclassmen to showcase their skills.

  • FREE Robot Kits: Each registered team will receive a standardized robot kit to build and program.

  • Boost Your Portfolio: This is a fantastic project to add to your resume, GitHub, and LinkedIn profile.

  • Experience Cutting-Edge Tech: Matches will be live-streamed into real-time Gaussian Splat viewers, allowing you and others to watch in VR!

Want to learn more? Come to our info session to get all the details, ask questions, find teammates, and see a demonstration of the kits.
