Make & Break is an exciting 12-hour coding challenge conducted by GDG on Campus LNMIIT, designed to test your skills in reverse engineering, development, debugging, and innovation. The event is structured into three dynamic phases that challenge your creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Format & Process:

• Phase 1 – Build: Each team will receive a unique, fully functional product that’s already deployed and in use. The challenge is to reverse-engineer it and rebuild it from scratch using modern technologies, while enhancing its functionality or adding innovative features.

• Phase 2 – Break: Teams will get another team’s codebase and must inject subtle, non-breaking bugs (for example, redirecting a button to the wrong page) to test other teams’ debugging and attention to detail.

• Phase 3 – Fix: Teams will get back their buggy codebase and must identify and fix all the bugs without using LLMs or any AI assistance.

Rules & Guidelines:

• All work must be completed within the given time span for each phase.

• Bugs injected should not make the code non-functional.

• Evaluation will be based on innovation, technical accuracy, creativity, and efficiency.
