The Google I/O Extended Carthage event, held on September 7th, 2024, brought together GDG on Campus SMU and GDG Carthage for an exciting day of learning and networking. With more than 80 participants, the event highlighted the latest advancements announced at Google I/O 2024 in Berlin. Workshops covered cutting-edge topics such as What’s New in AI, Google Cloud, Flutter, Multimodal Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) with Gemini API, and What’s New in Google Web. The event also featured fun activities and food, creating a vibrant and interactive atmosphere. It was a valuable opportunity for attendees to explore Google’s innovations and connect with the community.
