BearHacks 2025 – Sheridan College’s First Hybrid Hackathon

BearHacks 2025 is Sheridan College’s first-ever hybrid hackathon, bringing together students, industry mentors, and sponsors for 36 hours of innovation. The event will take place from March 28-30, 2025, at Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga, and online via Discord. Participants will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge AI tools, with sponsorship from Perplexity and Google, and engage in hands-on learning experiences. Whether you're an experienced hacker or just getting started, BearHacks offers an inclusive space to learn, create, and showcase your skills.

A key highlight is the Best use of Google TensorFlow Prize Track, where participants can compete in an exclusive TensorFlow challenge hosted by GDG on Campus: Sheridan College. Additionally, interactive TensorFlow and Gemini workshops will help participants enhance their AI development skills. Beyond the competition, BearHacks will offer exciting prizes, exclusive swag, and free food, along with networking opportunities with fellow students, tech enthusiasts, and industry leaders like recruiting managers at Scotiabank and career advice from a previous 10-year senior software engineer at Google.
