The second session of the "Learn and Build Series" by Women Tech Makers (WTM) REC focused on chatbot development, featuring Ishana Sabarish, Rajarajeshwari, and Amrita as speakers. Three talented student speakers, Ishana Sabarish, Rajarajeshwari, and Amrita, led the session, captivating an enthusiastic audience of aspiring techies. Ishana and Rajarajeshwari delved into chatbot development with coding, while Amrita introduced a no-code approach using Dialogflow, ensuring accessibility for all skill levels.

The session covered essential topics, including types of chatbots, natural language processing (NLP), and the chatbot development lifecycle—from defining objectives to designing conversation flow and deployment. A hands-on workshop allowed participants to build their own chatbots, reinforcing key concepts through practical application.

Students actively engaged, asking insightful questions and experimenting with chatbot creation. The session concluded with an inspiring message, encouraging participants to explore AI, stay updated with emerging technologies, and seize opportunities in the field.

With 70+ attendees and a retention rate of over 30 students throughout the 2-hour session, the event showcased a strong interest in AI-driven innovation. As the first of many in the Learn and Build Series, Chatbot Crafts was a resounding success—leaving students eager for more!
