The "Bit N Build" Hackathon is an exciting, international-level competition designed to bring together the brightest and most innovative minds from around the globe to solve real-world challenges using cutting-edge technology. The event is organized by Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) CRCE Mumbai in collaboration with Google Developer Group On Campus (GDG On Campus REC), with GDG On Campus REC serving as the National Co-organizer for the state of Tamil Nadu.
This hackathon is a prime opportunity for students across Tamil Nadu to compete in the Regional Round, which will be hosted online by GDG On Campus REC. The "Bit N Build" Hackathon is open to all college students across the state and serves as the first round (Round 1) in this international-level competition, where participants will tackle challenges across various domains such as AI/ML, Full Stack Web Development, App Development, and Blockchain. The event is designed to inspire students to think creatively, work collaboratively, and showcase their technical skills on both regional and international stages.

The "Bit N Build" Hackathon is designed to promote creativity, innovation, and collaboration among students from diverse academic backgrounds. By addressing real-world problems, participants will have the opportunity to apply their technical knowledge to create impactful solutions. The hackathon's focus on cutting-edge fields like AI/ML, Web Development, App Development, and Blockchain ensures that students are working on relevant and future-ready technologies.
The event is structured in two rounds:
Regional Round (Round 1):
The first round will be held online and will include teams from colleges all over Tamil Nadu. GDG On Campus REC has the honor of hosting this regional round, where students will compete in a 24-hour hackathon. Teams will work on problem statements curated by industry experts and leading academics in the fields of AI/ML, Full Stack Web Development, App Development, and Blockchain. The goal of this round is to identify the top two teams that will move on to the finals.
International Finals (Round 2):
The top two teams from the Regional Round in Tamil Nadu will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Fr. Conceição Rodrigues College of Engineering, Mumbai, where they will compete in the international finals. Teams from around the world will gather to present their solutions, network with industry leaders, and collaborate on innovative projects.

AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning):
AI and ML technologies are transforming industries across the globe. In this domain, participants will work on problem statements related to natural language processing, computer vision, predictive analytics, and more. Full Stack Web Development:

Form a Team:
Teams should consist of 2 to 4 members. All team members must be students currently enrolled in colleges across Tamil Nadu.
Register Your Team:
Teams can register through the official registration link provided above. Be sure to submit all required details before the registration deadline (27th September 2024).
Solve Problem Statements:
Teams will receive problem statements covering the hackathon domains (AI/ML, Web Development, App Development, and Blockchain). Teams must develop a solution within the 24-hour time frame.
Submit Your Solutions:
At the end of the 24-hour hackathon, teams must submit their solutions in the specified format (PPT, source code, etc.). The submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges from academia and the industry.
The submissions will be judged based on the following criteria:
Innovation and Creativity:
How innovative is the solution? Does it offer a unique approach to solving the problem?
Technical Implementation:
How well was the solution executed from a technical standpoint? Does the team demonstrate a deep understanding of the technologies used?
Relevance to the Problem Statement:
How effectively does the solution address the problem statement provided?
Presentation and Communication:
How well did the team communicate their ideas? Was the solution presented clearly and professionally?
