All that you need to know about IEEE CODECLASH

1. Guidelines:

  • Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and graduate students from accredited universities.
  • Inter-College Teams: Allowed – Students from different universities can form teams.
  • Inter-Specialization Teams: Allowed – Teams can consist of members from different majors (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, etc.).
  • Team Size: Maximum 4 members per team.
  • Problem Statements: There will be 4 problem statements (2 hardware and 2 software), of which 2 must be completed and submitted for evaluation.
  • Duration: The hackathon will be a 40-hour continuous challenge.
  • Format: The event will be conducted in-person at Purdue Fort Wayne, with hybrid participation for PCCOE and SPIT.
  • Evaluation Criteria: Submissions will be judged based on innovation, technical execution, feasibility, and impact.

2. Submission Requirements:

  • GitHub Repository: All code must be maintained in a public GitHub repository with regular commits throughout the hackathon.
  • Submission Form: Teams must submit their final work through Unstop, which will include: ⁠A link to a cloud storage folder (Google Drive, OneDrive, or equivalent) containing:
    a. A 2-page memo summarizing the project, its approach, and key findings.
    b. A PowerPoint presentation (PPT) explaining the solution.
    c. A short video (max 3 minutes) demonstrating the project and its functionality.
  • ⁠Deadline: All submissions must be completed before the 40-hour deadline.

3. Rules:

  • All work must be original and developed during the hackathon timeframe. Pre-existing projects are not allowed.
  • ⁠Late submissions will not be accepted. All projects must be submitted before the deadline.
  • Use of open-source libraries and APIs is allowed but must be properly credited.
  • Teams will have access to mentors and technical support, but all development work must be done independently.
  • Any form of plagiarism, academic dishonesty, or misconduct will result in immediate disqualification.
  • All participants must adhere to Purdue Fort Wayne’s code of conduct and ethical guidelines.
  • Judges’ and Organizers' decisions are final and binding.
