About this event

This hands-on workshop will guide you through building a Discord bot powered by the Gemini API. Participants will learn how to:
Set up a Discord bot through the Discord Developer Portal
Connect the bot to a server and create basic commands
Integrate the Gemini API to summarize documents, generate exam questions, and provide study support
Extend functionality with slash commands, personalization, and best practices for scaling and security
Prerequisites: Please ensure you have Python installed on your laptop before attending. We also recommend installing the following libraries in advance: discord.py, google-generativeai, PyPDF2 or pdfplumber, and python-dotenv.
