We’re excited to host the GDGoC Linux Ricing Exhibition. A casual low-stakes desktop competition to introduce students to the vast world of Linux Desktop customization. The GDGoC Linux Ricing Competition provides students with the opportunity to express creativity and personality in their laptops by building, styling, and tweaking their own desktop environment, catered to the students vision and taste. This event is catered towards students of all skill levels and majors.

Participants will join individually and will be given time until Monday 6th of July, 12:00PM in Touchdown 118 to build, style, and perfect their own personalized Linux desktop. You have complete creative freedom to design whatever you want, there is no fixed theme! 

Your hard work will culminate with a community Exhibition Day where you and the other participants get to showcase your work, talk about your custom configuration with the judges, and network with like-minded individuals. Prize pool of AED 350 will be up for grabs so make sure you’re locked in and do your best!
