The GDSC Resume Roast Event is the perfect opportunity for McMaster students to receive expert feedback on their resumes from industry professionals and experienced peers. Get valuable advice from tech professionals on how to polish your resume for job applications! Students can submit their resumes, and selected ones will be critiqued live during the event.
This event also offers a chance to ask professionals for job/co-op advice from various fields. Whether you come with questions or just want to listen in, you'll leave with actionable career advice you won’t want to miss!
The session will start with an online component at 6:00pm where a number of resumes will be critiqued to allow students to view general guidelines. The session will then have an in-person portion at JHE 210 around 7:00pm where students can then ask reviewers to review their own resumes. For online attendees they will be able to join breakout rooms and get their resume reviewed.
