About this event

The GDG Info Session '24 at KSRIET was a highly impactful event, aimed at introducing and raising awareness about Google Developer Groups (GDG) among over 400 enthusiastic students on campus. The session served as an excellent platform to familiarize students with the opportunities and resources provided by GDG, emphasizing the importance of community-driven learning and development in the tech world.

During the session, I shared the remarkable achievements of last year's GDSC KSRIET, highlighting the success stories and major events organized. These included our flagship events like 'Hack with GDSC'23,' the first-ever 24-hour hackathon in Namakkal district, where more than 100 students participated, and the international-scale GDSC FEST '24, which featured over 7 tech sessions, hands-on workshops, and attracted global participation. Additionally, I spoke about the 15+ teams from our chapter that participated in the Google Solution Challenge, out of which 8 teams were selected for the prestigious Indian Regional Bootcamp.

I also introduced students to the Generative AI Study Jam, an exciting event held in collaboration with Code Vipassana. This session, like our previous Google Cloud Study Jam, provided valuable learning experiences around cutting-edge technologies. Students were not only able to dive deep into the world of Generative AI but also had the chance to receive swags, similar to the GCP event, further fostering an atmosphere of engagement and motivation.

The Info Session was a great success, sparking interest in GDG and setting the stage for more tech events, workshops, and collaborations on campus, while inspiring students to be a part of this vibrant developer ecosystem.
