This onboarding event officially marked the start of GDGoC Konkuk’s 2025–2026 activities and aimed to help new and returning members clearly understand the program’s objectives and operations while fostering natural interaction and relationship-building through recreational activities to lay the groundwork for smooth collaboration in future studies and projects. It began with attendance check-in and seat assignments, followed by an in-depth introduction to GDGoC’s mission, the startup accelerator program, community structure, code of conduct, and completion criteria, as well as sharing the 2025 annual schedule and key upcoming events to encourage participation. Members and organizers then introduced themselves, and team-based games and quizzes were held to promote networking and communication. As a result, participants gained a clear understanding of GDGoC’s direction and operating model, overcame initial awkwardness through recreational activities, and built trust and rapport necessary for future collaboration, making the event more than a simple orientation by reinforcing the community’s identity and spirit of entrepreneurship and technical challenge.
