The GDG On Campus Recruitment Drive 2024 was a multi-stage process designed to identify and welcome the brightest talent into our community across six core domains: Web Development, App Development, AR/VR, Machine Learning, Competitive Programming, and UI/UX. This year, we witnessed an overwhelming interest, with 1367 applications pouring in from students across both first and second years.

The recruitment journey began with Step 1: Registration & Interest Form, where candidates expressed their domain preferences. This was followed by Step 2: Coding Test on the HackerEarth platform. Here, candidates faced 15 MCQ questions and 3 coding challenges to test their skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity under time constraints. After a rigorous evaluation, the top 300 participants were shortlisted based on scores, with strict plagiarism checks ensuring a fair assessment.

In Step 3: Panel Interviews, our interviewers conducted detailed sessions with the finalists, evaluating both technical acumen and passion for community engagement. Out of these talented individuals, 141 candidates from both years made it through to become a part of GDG On Campus.

The entire process spanned about a month and culminated in an enthusiastic onboarding of these new members into the Google Developer Groups community at our campus.
