About this event

Build Your First Android App with CRUD Operations!

Level: Beginner-Friendly (No prior Android experience required, but basic programming knowledge is helpful)

Description:

Ever dreamed of building your own Android app? This hands-on session will guide you through the exciting process of creating a simple yet functional Android application from scratch. We'll focus on the fundamental building blocks of Android development and dive into implementing CRUD operations – the core of most data-driven apps.

What you'll learn:

Android Studio Basics: Get comfortable with the development environment, understanding its key components and how to navigate its interface.

UI Design: Learn to create user interfaces using XML layouts, adding and arranging elements like buttons, text fields, and lists.

Data Handling: Discover how to store and manage data within your app. We'll explore a simple local storage mechanism (e.g., using SharedPreferences or a basic database) to make our CRUD operations work.

CRUD Operations Explained: Understand the concepts of Create, Read, Update, and Delete and how they apply to app development.
