GDG on Campus Kalasalingam Academy of Research & Education - Krishnankoil, India
A dynamic AI challenge brought to you by Google Developer Groups (GDG) on Campus, KARE. Master the art of prompt engineering in this exciting two-round competition where participants will recreate AI-generated images and guide AI to create web pages following a specified design.
5 RSVP'd
Participants will be provided with nine distinct AI generated reference images, each vastly different in subject matter, style, and scale. For example, one image may depict a natural landscape, while another could be a microscopic view of semiconductor chips. The remaining images may explore entirely different themes, such as abstract art or architectural designs. Participants must use an AI-powered image generation tool of their choice to recreate these images as accurately as possible.
Evaluation Criteria: Judges will assess the final images subjectively on a scale of 10 for each image, based on accuracy, quality, and resemblance to the reference.
Prompt Review: All prompts used to generate the images will be reviewed. Scores will be assigned based on the efficiency and accuracy of the prompt-engineering process. Faster and more precise solutions will be awarded higher marks.
Scoring: This round carries 90 points, with a maximum of 10 points per image.
Participants will be given a design of 5 web pages and they'll have to use vanilla HTML, CSS and JS to replicate the design as close to the original as possible without manually changing the code. The generated files will have to be put in a single directory.
Tool Limitations: Any AI-generated content must be prompted and refined without external code references or manual intervention. Participants are responsible for managing their AI tool usage, including any credit limitations.
Evaluation Criteria: Judges will first verify that the code is generated using an AI tool and then give out scores based on a set rubrics.
Scoring: This round is worth 50 points, with each web page carrying a maximum of 10 marks.
The total scores from both rounds will be combined to determine participant rankings. The top three participants will be awarded as follows:
Participants are free to use any AI tool and subscription tier of their choice and are advised to have their preferred AI tools ready to use.
