About this event

Cybersecurity is vast — from network defense and cryptography to digital forensics — but this series focuses fully on ethical hacking: finding and fixing vulnerabilities before malicious actors exploit them.

In this first session, we’ll build the most critical foundation for any ethical hacker: a virtual lab. This is your safe, isolated environment where you can legally and confidently practice penetration testing, run exploits, and simulate attacks without risking real systems.

Why you need a virtual lab:

🔒 Safe & Legal Testing – Experiment without touching live production systems

🛠 Hands-On Learning – Move from theory into real-world practice

⚡ Reset Anytime – Break, learn, rebuild — all without consequences

What we’ll cover:

1. Prerequisites for building your lab

2. Configuring PfSense firewall

3. Setting up Metasploitable vulnerable machine

4. Installing Kali Linux — your penetration testing toolkit

5. Setting up an Ubuntu Machine for admin and documentation tasks

Event Details:

📅 Date: 12th August 2025

🕘 Time: 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM EAT

📍 Location: Online (Google Meet)

This is Session 1 of the Ethical Hacking Series. Master your lab now — because the real hacks are coming in the next sessions.

"Growth hacking is a mindset, and those who have it will reap incredible gains."
