About this event

Our college recently hosted an enriching event organized by Google Developer Groups (GDG) to introduce students to the various domains within the community. The event aimed to raise awareness, highlight the importance of these domains, and encourage students to actively participate in GDG activities.

Each domain is led by a dedicated Lead and Co-Lead, who introduced themselves during the event, outlined their roles, and explained the purpose of their respective domains. They shared how their fields contribute to technology and innovation, while also showcasing opportunities for students to collaborate, gain practical skills, and grow within the community.

The session covered key domains such as Web Development, Cloud & DevOps, and Event Management in detail, providing insights into what these areas offer. It emphasized the importance of teamwork, networking, and continuous learning, encouraging students to align with domains matching their interests and aspirations.

The event began with an introduction by Mr. G. Sajith, the GDG Organizer, who gave an overview of the organization and stressed the significance of tech education for students. He highlighted how the GDG community helps students connect with industry professionals and enhance their skills. Following this, the Co-Organizer elaborated on the structure of GDG and outlined the plans for the upcoming year.

The session also featured the introduction of the core teams, led by our faculty coordinator, Dr. Pavithra M., Assistant Professor of CSE. The teams presented included fields such as AI, Modelling & Designing, Cloud & DevOps, Network & Embedded Systems, Web & Android Development, and Event Management.

Overall, the event successfully inspired students to explore GDG’s initiatives and provided them with a pathway to develop both technical and leadership skills through community events and projects.
