Hacktoberfest is an annual, worldwide celebration of open source that happens every October. This year, GDG on Campus Babcock is joining in by hosting our own month-long Hacktoberfest Challenge.

From October 1st to October 31st, 2025, members will have the opportunity to:

Contribute to open source projects

Work on personal or group projects

Learn by doing, whether you’re a beginner or experienced

Track your progress on a live leaderboard

Get recognized for your contributions within the community

We’ll kick things off with a Virtual Launch on October 1 and share more details about how to participate.

If you’ve ever wanted to try open source, collaborate with others, or simply build something new this October, this is your chance to dive in.
