If you didn't tune into Google I/O this year, one of the biggest and most exciting announcements regarding Android was Google announced first-class support for Kotlin on Android. Full interoperability with Java, closures, mix-ins, and extension functions are just some of the features of Kotlin and now you can utilize them in your Android app.

First, we will have a roundtable discussion about what Google announced this year. We will discuss whatever the group wants and please join the conversation! AI, machine learning, Actions on Google, and of course Android! We may not have the answers, but we will have a good chat. 

Brandon will give a quick intro into the language and then jump into live coding examples to show how using Kotlin in your project can improve productivity, make your codebase more robust, and make Android development more fun.
