Manuela Veloso

J.P. Morgan

Manuela Veloso is Head of J.P. Morgan Chase AI Research and Herbert A. Simon University Professor Emerita at Carnegie Mellon University, where she was previously Faculty in the Computer Science Department and Head of the Machine Learning Department. Her recent interests are in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Symbiotic Human-Robot Autonomy, Continuous Learning Systems, and AI in Finance. She is past President of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), and the co-founder and a past President of the RoboCup Federation. In her career she has received numerous awards and honors, including: National Science Foundation CAREER Award, Allen Newell Medal for Excellence in Research, Radcliffe Fellow, Einstein Chair Professor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the ACM/SIGART Autonomous Agents Research Award. Veloso is a Fellow of AAAI, AAAS, ACM, and IEEE. She was elected in 2022 to the National Academy of Engineering for her “contributions to artificial intelligence and its applications in robotics and the financial service industry.”

Jason is the public face of TensorFlow.js, helping web engineers globally take their first steps with machine learning in JavaScript. By combining knowledge of the technical and creative worlds he develops innovative prototypes for Google's largest customers and internal teams.He holds an MEng in computer science, is a member of the British Computing Society, and is a certified information privacy technologist. Jason loves sharing knowledge online which has attracted a global following.

Allen is a Google Developer Expert for the Google Assistant and other technologies, helping other developers understand how they can apply the skills they already have to this growing technology. He is a Senior Project Engineer at Objective Consulting, co-author of "Designing and Developing for Google Glass", enjoys the history of technology, and has occasionally been known to wear light blue shirts.

Dr. Susan Xueqing Liu is an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science of Stevens Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on using natural language processing to improve software engineering and security. She has published in top AI venues for more than a decade. Her recent work involves utilizing generative AI technologies to evaluate and explain machine learning models, especially in the area of hate speech detection and content moderation.
