After a long time, we welcome you again to our DevFest 2022; a single-day developer conference on Flutter and Cloud.
With various experts from all over Europe - all with outstanding skills and knowledge in their field - we offer a mixed program of talks and workshops, which is not only aimed at professional software developers, but also interesting for beginners or simply anyone who brings a certain curiosity for technology.
This event is organized by GDG Nuremberg, an independent local chapter of Google's global developer network.

Event details
The event will be held on Sep. 24th, 2022 from 10 AM to 6 PM with a get together and dinner afterwards.
Food & drinks will be provided.
Participation in the event is free of charge.

Location
The venue is CodeCamp:N in Solgerstraße 18, 90429 Nuremberg.
There is no parking possibility on the premises.

Intro Keynote	A warm welcome and some information about the event by the organizers
Moritz Theis: Code Generation with mason	This Session will be an Introduction to Code Generation using Mason and the Mason CLI. Using a practical approach we will see how Mason speeds up our development trough a Feature-Template (so called “brick”) to add new async features to our Flutter-App using Riverpod. We will take a look under the hood of this Feature-Template to find out how it is working and how you can create your own custom templates for Mason.
Andrei Lesnitsky: Extending Firebase	Firebase undoubtedly revolutionized how we think of building a fully scalable and complex backend service to build mobile and web applications rapidly. The service gets even more exciting if you can integrate it with great software on the internet or extending by adding predefined functionalities. Firebase Extensions help you quickly deploy functionality to your app with pre-packaged solutions. This session will reveal the power of Firebase extensions and show you how you can achieve more by doing less on Firebase!

Jeroen (Jay) Meijer: Testing in Flutter and Dart (for the lazy)	You might be an avid tester who knows all the ins and outs of doing proper testing, and can bathe in buzzwords like code coverage, test-driven-development and continuous integration. Or, on the other hand, you might be the kind of person who has automated the process of deleting the test folder every time you create a new Flutter project. For the lazy amongst you — fear no more; come join VGV on a quick-fire introduction on how, what and why to test Flutter and Dart applications.
Taley'a Mirza: Introduction to Kubernetes	This will be an awesome introduction to Kubernetes. Kuberwhat? It's netes, Natan. Be simply all ears!
Steven Dzionara: From trees to leaves - how to render everything in flutter	What is the difference between the widget tree, element tree and the render tree and do we really need all three of them? How does Flutter render my widgets and can I really draw everything I can imagine?
