About this event

Open source (almost) everything

Should we open source our code or keep it proprietary? A decision many companies face on a regular basis. Making profit while releasing free software feels controversial. Is our platform secure enough if everyone can read our source code? These are some of the questions we want to answer, and also to convince you to release your next software withan open source license. As a practical example, we will try to build our own open source software, choose the appropriate license, upload it to GitHub, and get familiar with the tools and platforms necessary for maintaining it.

Speaker: A software engineer, a math nerd, a ninja, and lover of everything open source. I write code at SemaphoreCI continuous delivery platform, improving myself and the CI platform on a daily basis.
