About this event

IO Extended | Android Architecture Components
Talk language: Serbian (slides in English)

- Laptop
- Android Studio 2.3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This year at Google I/O, the Android team has decided to dedicate some of its time to code architecture, and they have put their focus on the developers. Miloš is going to tell us about what the Android team has in store with their LifecyclerOwner, LiveData and ViewModel classes, and how they can help allieviate the burden of modularizing your code and making it more testable.

After the talk, as always, we'll be organizing a GDG live hangout, but this time you'll be able to hear about the firsthand experience from our members who went to Google I/O, i.e. talk about who were the most interesting speakers, what they liked the most and why, etc.

UPDATE: After the session, we will do a small (optional) codelab that will introduce you to all the components that we have mentioned.
In the codelab, you will add a bit of code to almost-complete examples in order to get a general sense of how these components are used and what's their place in the Android world.
What's needed:
- A laptop
- Android Studio 2.3
- General knowledge of Android and the Activity Lifecycle (https://developer.android.com/guide/components/activities/activity-lifecycle.html)

About speaker: Miloš Šikić is an Android developer working for Counterpath, where he's working on their VoIP application. His responsibilities include coding the UI for different configurations, inspection of old code, as well as its optimization.
