This workshop was created out of necessities for the GDG Monrovia community where community members could not contribute to a project due to lack of knowledge about GIT/GITHUB. So we kickstarted the basics for the community.

Agenda

Downloading and Setting up Git	We shall be taking a beginner's approach in understanding what git is and how to setup a git environment
Setting up Github Account	GIT on its own is powerful but combining it with GITHUB (a collaborative platform for git), increase the power. We shall be creating an account of github, create a repo, setup a project for collaboration
Power of Push & Pull	Knowing how to commit, setup remote access to our GitHub account, push and pull changes online
Forking, Cloning and Merging	Learn how to contribute to projects by forking and merging changes then pulling such repo via cloning it on your system.
