About this event

Fresno Data Science - More Effective ChatGPT Watch Party after Decentralized

I continue to be amazed at how many people, including students, have yet to explore ChatGPT and what it has to offer. Many still don't quite understand its value. And most who do use it just do "blind prompting", creating prompts with crude trial and error. Nevertheless, effective prompting is increasingly becoming an imperative skill.

Previously, we have discussed large language models (LLMs) and introduced how to use and effectively prompt ChatGPT. However, in this talk, we will more specifically discuss prompt engineering and the components of a good prompt so that you have a more formal structure or template in mind when prompting, to help you achieve better results. Various examples and use cases will be presented. Additionally, we will explore ChatGPT’s multimodal capabilities, including how it can help us with data preparation, exploration and analysis. We will also look at its uses for image generation.

If you missed the previous "Effective ChatGPT" talk, no worries. We will begin with a brief introduction to ChatGPT, and review basic prompting and fundamental prompting patterns.

I hope that this talk encourages many of you, and enables you to more effectively use this incredible technology.

We hope you join us.
