This combined talk and workshop will start at the beginners level on Data Visualization in Data Studio. Starting from an introductory level, you will gain an understanding of the basic concepts and consider use cases while getting hands on experience in a practical workshop. It begins with the Talk Data Studio is Google’s serverless business intelligence and data visualization platform. As an easy and free-to-use reporting solution, Data Studio helps businesses and individuals to understand their data, derive key insights, effectively communicate measurements, and make better informed decisions. In this talk, Yulan Lin discusses Data Studio’s developer features: community visualizations and community connectors. Community visualizations allow you to build custom JavaScript visualizations that integrate into your Data Studio dashboards, and community connectors allow you to connect basically any internet connected data source to your dashboard. In the process, you’ll learn about Data Studio, Google Apps Script, and writing data visualizations with JavaScript. We then move to the Workshop This workshop will be an opportunity to work through the self-paced codelabs for community visualizations and community connectors with Yulan nearby to answer questions and provide additional context.
