About this event

May the 4th be with us!

Join us for another awesome event as we have our very own Ilkhom Karimov giving a presentation on his Autonomous Flight Wildfire Detection Drone project- DroneDetects!

Here's a bit about our presenter:

Graduated Masters Degree in Computer Science in 2009 and worked on different enterprise companies and startups using AI and Deep Learning for various projects. Currently, he is working at DroneDetects, a startup to create autonomous flight drone which can detect wildfires at the earliest stages using AI.

DroneDetects is a startup aimed to increase the efficiency of fire fighting by detecting wildfires at the earliest stages using autonomous roaming drones, thermal sensors, and AI (Convolutional Neural Networks).

The presentation will cover building a drone for autonomous flight and fire detection based software and Nvidia Jetson edge computing embedded system.

Outline for the event:
- How to build a DIY drone
- How to program a drone
- Nvidia Jetson technologies for edge computing
- CNNs (Convolutional Neural Network) for Fire detection
- Intel RealSense and thermal cameras

And of course what May 4th wouldn't be complete without a little something from a galaxy far, far away.

Hope to see you there!
