About this event

Women Techmakers Melbourne in partnership with GDG Melbourne is bringing you the International Womens Day event for 2020

We have some very exciting activities lined up!

Make sure you get there early - there will be a special surprise for those who are there when doors open!

On the night there will be a panel discussion with some of our fantastic women tech superheros. You will be able to delve into their origin stories and ask them how they developed their powers!

Our panellists include:

- Kruti Patel
CTO @ Sheba

- Suesi Tran
Senior Android Developer & Flutter lover @ Cognizant

- Gwendolen Warnick
Who has been able to morph from education and music to web and cloud development

- Melissa Houghton
Senior Developer @ Telstra Purple

- Hwan-Yi Choo
Enterprise Mobility Engineer @ANZ

We also will have a full length talk on "Why We Should Advocate Ourselves More" by Bernadeth Lucanas from Google!

Bernadeth is part of Google Cloud and is a Diversity & Inclusion Advocate and #IamRemarkable Ambassador.

This will be an inclusive event of all genders. We will hold back some RSVP spots for women to ensure there is as much opportunity as possible for everyone to get involved. If you miss out on a spot please send a message. Waitlist policy from our regular GDG Melbourne Meetups will also apply.
