About this event

Welcome to Google Developers Melbourne June Meetup.  This month we have MVVM and Lightning Talks!

Lightning Talks - "Stackdriver", "Android View State Storing, and it's Gotcha!" and "Standardising colour on Android"

2nd Talk - "MVVM" - Clinton Rocksmith

MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) is here to stay, would you like to know how to implement it?  Drawing on nearly 10 years of working with this architectural style, Clinton Rocksmith will demonstrate the hard learned lessons and common pitfalls that can happen implementing it.  The talk will cover the history and origins of MVVM and what problems it tries to solve, best-practices to use when implementing it and where should the code go to ensure that your application is testable and the state of your application can be confirmed. Then by looking at the latest Architectural SDK’s released at Google I/O 2017, Clinton will outline what benefits these bring to the troubles of implementing MVVM on Android and how these can be used to remove further risks of memory leaks.

Lightning Talks

Stackdriver - Suken Shah

Android View State Storing, and it's Gotcha! - Elisha
